During the festive event, Mayor James Butts presented an official city resolution to co-founders James Fauntleroy, Larrance Dopson, and business partner Twila True acknowledging January 15 as “1500 or Nothin’ Day” in the city of Inglewood. After the presentation, Mayor Butts gathered with media to further describe how 1500 Sound Academy has been investing in the property of Inglewood to complete its official architectural launch. He mentioned that Twila True and 1500 Sound Academy started investing in the city of Inglewood at its current location for this day to come several years ago. This occurred prior to the emergence of SoFi Stadium and other prominent businesses in the city. The mayor voiced the true impact of Inglewood’s 1500 Sound Academy:
